2017 Atlanta Airflow Training
While Osprey Corporation hosts most Air Flow Training sessions in Chateau Arnoux, France, the latest event was held at our headquarters in Atlanta on October 10th-12th. The 3-day training program focused on air system design, dust filtration, core-forming, pneumatic transportation, fan design, overall air-balancing and process design. The event included 23 participants from North and South America and was held at the AC Hotel in Buckhead and our facility in Atlanta.
Osprey and its Community
Osprey understands that it is important to be a positive influence in our community. Recently, we adopted a road from the Georgia Department of Transportation (DOT) and their partner Keep Georgia Beautiful. The Adopt-a-Road program is a public service program that seeks the help of volunteers to remove litter from roadsides and highways.
Osprey Blue-Sky Filter Announcement: The Results Are In: No Explosion Protection Required
In 2016, Osprey Corporation commissioned DEKRA Insight, a global leader in process safety management, to conduct a combustible dust hazard analysis (DHA) on the Osprey Blue-Sky filter for both the American and European markets. The purpose of the study was to determine if there were potential dust explosion hazards that would require the filter to be equipped with explosion protection. The guiding documents for the studies were NFPA 652 and NFPA 654 in the United States, and the ATEX directive 2014/34/EU in Europe.
