PURPOSE
Separates pneumatically conveyed material from air.

APPLICATION
Bulk fiber handling; Trim collection for poly leg cuts, bag tails, and bowties, reject product handling, and cull collection.

OPERATION
The Osprey MS series separators operate under negative pressure allowing for varieties of fiber, cull, or trim to be pulled rather than blown from the production space. There is no contact with the transport mechanism. This reduces damage to the waste product and additional dust. Material can be transported more than 100 meters from the production line. Air and material enter the separator through the inlet port where the material is pushed down by a revolving paddle. The material is then transported out of the bottom by a flighted discharge roll that also acts as an airlock. The transport air is discharged through the lower screen and then can be conveyed to a filter if required.
